Getting There

Ho Chi Minh City’s international airport receives direct flights from 28 cities originating in 16 different countries - including 13 cities in China, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea.

The airport receives more than 325 international flights per week providing direct access to Viet Nam for an estimated 641 million people including 165 million people whose travel time is less than 3 hours. This represents a large potential customer base for the Ho Tram Strip, as 70% of international visitors to Viet Nam arrive by air and approximately 60% of these visitors are tourists.

The Ho Tram Strip site is accessible from Ho Chi Minh City by road in approximately 2.5 hours and by helicopter in approximately 30 minutes. ACDL plans to deploy a fleet of several luxury coach buses, “super” limos and standard sedan services to and from key points in Ho Chi Minh City, the International Airport, Vung Tau City and Phan Thiet.

Viet Nam plans a new Expressway from Ho Chi Minh City that is expected to be completed by 2013, followed in 2015 by the opening of a new international airport approximately 50 kilometres southeast of Ho Chi Minh City – about 80 kilometres driving distance from the Ho Tram Strip.  All told, these initiatives should reduce travel time to the site to approximately 1 hour, improving the guest experience.

Water shuttle service is currently available between Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau City, with a travel time of approximately 1.5 hours. In anticipation of the new Ho Tram Strip, ACDL will negotiate a strategy with shuttle operators to introduce faster new hydrofoils and/or similar type craft that could be used directly to the resort.
