Development Overview

Asian Coast Development (Canada) Ltd. received a “first of its kind” Investment Certificate in April 2008 from the Government of Viet Nam, approved by both the central government and the Ba Ria-Vung Tau provincial government. ACDL has the right under the Investment Certificate to develop five large-scale luxury integrated resorts on a 169 hectare pristine beachfront property located in Ho Tram, 127 kilometres southeast of Ho Chi Minh City. The property will be developed to showcase and capitalize on more than 2.2 kilometres of  untouched beach bordering the South China Sea.

Thanks to its strategic location in close proximity to Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Tram Strip possesses great potential as a tourist destination of choice. Ho Chi Minh City’s international airport, which provides direct flights from 28 cities in 16 countries, is serviced by 31 airlines offering more than 325 international flights per week.

Based on interaction with the Vietnamese Government and the Company’s assessment, ACDL has determined that there is a desire among Viet Nam’s leaders to establish recreational facilities for its people, and to create a desirable tourist infrastructure for international visitors, expatriates and foreign nationals living in Viet Nam.

As one of the world’s most ambitious tourist developments, the Ho Tram Strip will contribute directly to the economic improvement of Viet Nam and the entertainment landscape, while placing Viet Nam on the map of exotic international tourist destinations – ideally being the catalyst for the country to gain a reputation as a leading tourist destination.
